The study is based on an analysis of data from a study of 1.4 million adults in the United States, Europe and Asia, published in the journal 'Jama Oncology'. In which senior author Xiao-Yuu Shu, professor at Vanderbilt University, stated, "Our study provides strong evidence to support the USA 2015-2020 dietary guideline, which recommends the inclusion of high fiber and yogurt in the diet." "

How was the study done?
For this study, participants were divided into five groups according to the amount of fiber and yogurt. Which found that those with the highest yogurt and fiber consumption had a 33 percent lower risk of lung cancer than those who consumed or did not consume yogurt and fiber content.

Xiao-Yuu Shu said that its adverse effects were currently seen in smokers, first smokers and non-smokers, whether men or women. Shu stated that prebiotics (non-digestible food that promotes the growth of beneficial microbes in the gut) and probiotic properties can be promoted.
