For what conditions or diseases is this medication prescribed?
Minoxidil is used to stimulate hair growth and slow baldness. It is more effective in people under 40 years of age whose hair loss is recent. Minoxidil has no effect on the increasingly pronounced entries. It does not cure baldness; Most new hair is lost a few months after the use of the product has been discontinued.
How should this medicine be used?
Minoxidil is packaged in liquid form to be applied to the scalp. Minoxidil is usually used 2 times a day.
Follow the instructions on the product label carefully and ask your doctor or pharmacist anything you do not understand. Use the product exactly as directed. Do not use more or less than the indicated dose or more often than prescribed by your doctor.
The recommended excess dosage does not cause an increase in hair growth or make the product work faster and may cause greater side effects. You should use minoxidil for at least 4 months, and possibly for up to 1 year, before you see any effect.
Three special applicators come with the product: a spray applicator with a meter for large areas of the scalp, an extension for the spray applicator (for use with the spray applicator with a meter) for small areas or under the hair and a roll-on applicator
Remove the outer and inner lid of the container, choose an applicator and place it firmly on the container.
To use the spray applicator with extension, first assemble the spray applicator with meter and then follow the instructions that come with the spray applicator with extension. Pump the spray applicator or spray applicator with extension, 6 times each dose. Try not to inhale the spray. Place the large cap on the spray container or the small one on the nozzle of the applicator extension when not in use.
To use the roll-on applicator, hold the container upright and squeeze it until the upper chamber of the applicator is filled to the black line. Then turn the container down and rub the medicine. Place the large lid on the container when not in use. If you use the fingertips to apply the product, wash them well afterwards.
Apply minoxidil only when the hair and scalp are dry. Do not apply to other areas of the body and keep it away from the eyes and sensitive skin. If the product accidentally comes into contact with these areas, wash the area thoroughly with fresh water; Call your doctor if you have irritations.
